It all started with a surf trip to Portugal in 2004 when Yves & Carina Garneau visited the vibrant fishing village of Ericeira and fell in love.
Through out the years that followed, they would return during their holidays with their two boys to indulge in the world class surfing, seaside lifestyle and vibrant culture that Portugal has to offer.
In 2018 they began the build of what is now Villa Lavanda and in 2020 made the leap and relocated to Portugal.
Yves and Carina’s experience stems from twenty years of living and working in the luxury sector in the Swiss Alps. Based near the resort of Verbier, they were exposed to world class accommodation and service. Yves is one of the Alps most recognized interior photographers, shooting luxury Chalets and hotels all over the Alps. You can view his work at G1photo.com. Carina worked in product-sourcing and human resources with some of Switzerland’s most exclusive brands up until their move.Â
With their combined experience and the connections, it was only natural that they bring their expertise to a region that was exponentially growing in popularity.
